IWP-RIXS 2026
July 19th, 2026 - July 24th, 2026
International Workshop on Photoionization and Resonant Inelastic Scattering
We are excited to host the 14th International Workshop on Photoionization and Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IWP/RIXS) Conference for 5 nights in this inspiring space, bringing together leading researchers, scientists, and experts from around the world. The IWP/RIXS series of workshops have been organized every three (now two) years since 1990, with the most recent meetings hosted in Switzerland by PSI/ETHZ (2024) and in Japan by U. Tokyo/Tokohu U. (2022).
The overarching theme of this workshop is spectroscopy in the X-ray spectral domain, with a particular emphasis on photoionization and resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) in all forms of matter, bringing together researchers from physical, chemical, and materials sciences. Join us at the David Brower Center, one of the most distinguished buildings in downtown Berkeley known for its striking archecture and innovative structural design.
We welcome researchers, scientists, and students from around the world to join us for five days of scientific exchange and collaboration in Berkeley.
Organizations and industry partners interested in supporting the workshop are invited to participate through our sponsorship program.
We encourage early registration, as space may be limited.
Participants are invited to submit their abstracts through the submission portal available on this website using the following link here.
If you have any questions, please contact the event organizers at iwp-rixs@lbl.gov
